April 28 - 30/2025, the second day program of Innovation Africa 2025 platform to boost digital technology economy in Africa is being held in Addis Ababa under the coordination of Ministry of Innovation and Technology, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Labor and Skills.

The conference is aimed at strengthening the development of digital skills and technology innovation through African cooperation and to be globally competitive and ensure its usefulness.

The Minister of Innovation and Technology Dr. Belete Molla Getahun has realized that equipping our youth with digital technology knowledge is not a choice but a duty.

H.E minister said that the future of young Africans is based on technology and digital sectors, the minister said that it is a joint responsibility of Africans to ensure that all citizens regardless of their upbringing and background have access to equal digital pathways and learning platforms.

The minister said Africa's student potential should be strengthened in STEM education. Invested in educational systems that not only encourage academic success but solve mathematical thinking and encourage creativity.

The minister said that Ethiopia is making a rapid change in startups and technology innovation through the coordinated measures taken by the government and private sectors. He is working together to create a conducive environment for entrepreneurs, to strengthen the spirit of partnership between industry, academia and accelerate the growth of startups, to solve common, key challenges, to open new opportunities for our citizens and to use their creative skills. They have taken care of it as it should.

The ministry of innovation and technology is committed to broaden cooperation that promotes innovation and technology in our continent. The minister said we should work together to build a better future for Africa known for inclusiveness, empowerment and sustainable development.

The conference will focus on digital, education, information communication, technology, and capacity building. Ministers of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, sister African countries deputy ministers, ambassadors, representatives of international organizations, academic scholars and other relevant guests are participating.
