The Ministry of Innovation and Technology discussed with the officials of the organization on issues that will help startups to win the Zayed Sustainability Prize in the United Arab Emirates which will award one million dollars.

The Minister of Innovation and Technology H.E.  Dr. Belete Molla has stated that by using the convenient startup system created by our government, startup products that can solve the problems of the society have been created and can be globally competitive.

The Minister said that Ethiopia is a country of young people that can create a lot of things, Ethiopia is working hard to produce young people who are armed with technological knowledge that develops a sense of competitiveness and can create international recognition and impact.

The training of 5 million coders received from the Prime Minister's initiative from UAE has been very beneficial and they have shown that they are working on bilateral cooperation by thanking the government for the support provided.

The owner of Zayed Sustainability Prize Mr. Mohammed Al Fardan has pointed out that the company is engaged in the Ethiopian Solar Energy Development sector about the bilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and UAE.

In addition,  expressed their interest in providing training and providing the necessary support to Ethiopian startups to qualify for the competition award.

They have agreed to work on a bilateral cooperation program by identifying startups that are eligible for competition.
