Dr. Baysa Bedada stated that cooperation works should be continued to build a startup that will boost the country's economic growth.

The Ministry of Innovation and Technology in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency has held a signing ceremony to implement the agreement that was made earlier to build the Ethiopian Startup Institute.

Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Bayisa Bedada, has stated that Japan's World Cooperation Agency (JAIKA) has done a lot of work in cooperation sector to share experience with countries in East Africa including Ethiopia, providing technical support and creating a comfortable startup system.

Minister Daetaw has pointed out that the project that will be working on the construction of startup culture in the country will last for three years from August 2025 to 2028 according to foreigners.

Minister Deetaw said that the cooperation is important for Ethiopia's startup construction. The Japanese government's support for the startup construction in the past years has made a great result.

Aklewum minister stated that the office will provide the necessary support for the success of the project and thanked the Japanese government for the continued support.

Jaika Country Director, Mr. Kensuke Oshima, said the Japanese government is keen on continuous experience sharing and technical support in strengthening the startup platform.

It is expected that this cooperation will play a key role in creating the entrepreneurship, professional development and job opportunities in Ethiopia. It is stated that the long term cooperation between the two countries will continue to be strengthened.
