Minister of Innovation and Technology Dr. Belete Mola and senior officials of the ministry have discussed with a delegation led by Israel's Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Mr. Eli Kohn.

The consultation is aimed at strengthening the relationship between the two countries and Ethiopia and Israel in the field of infrastructure building:- innovation, technology, research, startup development and power cooperation.

During the discussion, Minister of Innovation and Technology Dr. Belete Mola explained that Ethiopia is making strong moves in digital economy building, support and development of startups, research and technology transition, power supply, agriculture technology and related issues.

The minister said that Israel's strong experience in this sector is to be taken from implementing the projects that can make digital Ethiopia a reality, from strengthening the construction of institutions, to creating a comfortable environment and many other works that will help the sector.

Israel's Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Mr. Eli Kohn said that the discussion is not only to strengthen the historical bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and Israel but also to lay a foundation to take the cooperation in agricultural technology, innovation and developing technology to a higher level.

Ayizawum, honorable minister Dr. Belete has invited honorable minister Ele Kohn to visit the development of innovation and technology that his country has reached.

Mr. Eli Kohn pointed out that Israel is ready to use its knowledge in technology and power to support the growing Ethiopian innovation industry and to provide assistance that will benefit the society.

Mr. Eli Cohen has pointed out that this discussion will open doors for Israeli investors to invest in different sectors.

According to Israel's experience, the work that private sector institutions have played a major role in making the sector more effective.

The discussion will play an important role in strengthening the innovation and cooperation between Ethiopia and Israel in the field of innovation and technology, as well as to exchange experience in strengthening the effectiveness of the works held during the second Ethio-Israel Innovation Week.
