H.E Dr. Belete Molla stated that the training of 5 million Ethio-coders is important to become the key actor of the global economic development.

The Addis Ababa Civil Registration and Residents Service Agency has held a graduation program for employees from sub-city to woreda who took 5 million coders.

The Minister of Innovation and Technology Dr. Belete Mola who was present at the graduation program said that if we can produce a citizen armed with technology knowledge that can carry everything for Ethiopia's digital economy transition, we will be able to bring our desired result in a short time.

The minister who said that our country is set to do a wide range of work to achieve Digital Ethiopia 2025, has realized that by using the basic skills training opportunity for 5 million Ethiopian youths, they can use the opportunity of coding skills training in web-programming, android development, data science and artificial intelligence sectors, equipping oneself in the fields of digital Ethiopia, it will enable them to share job opportunities beyond the country but also internationally.

Mr. Solomon Amare, the head of Addis Ababa City Administration Innovation and Technology Development Office, has stated that a lot of work is being done to create a digital army to achieve the 5 million Ethio Coders Initiative.

The chief executive said that the high youth force in our country should take advantage of the opportunity created by the Civil Registration and Residents Service Agency, by empowering the manpower and providing infrastructure, citizens can get the services from their homes.

At last, a program of giving certificates for 240 trainees who completed the coding training course will continue to be strengthened.
