H.E Dr. Yishurun Alemayehu stated that the 2025 internet development conference in Africa EGAD countries will be able to solve internet infrastructure challenges and implement new solutions.

Ministry of Innovation and Technology in collaboration with Internet Society (Wingu Africa) and Wingu Africa (Wingu Africa), the 3 days internet development conference that was held in Africa EGAD countries has ended.

The closing speech of the conference was made by the Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Yishurun Alemayehu, who made the conference's closing speech, stated that we should use our resources and knowledge to achieve new results from expanding the access of internet exchange points among the country.

Minister Daetau said it is important to strengthen continental cooperation in order to support the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) said jointly developing policies and technical frameworks in African EGAD countries will help to increase investments in digital infrastructure beyond borders.

EGAD Countries have realized that the innovation that reflects every community with no boundaries, our region is seen as a global digital transformation catalyst and the use of advanced digital technologies is a must.

At the closing ceremony, the director general of the Ethiopian communication authority Engineer Balcha Reba said that he should not only work to accelerate the growth of digital economy in Egad countries but also to become a leading actor in the international digital market.

He stated that in order to increase the capacity of sharing of knowledge across the borders and to solve infrastructure challenges, it is necessary to strengthen intimacy and cooperation.

It is stated that the discussions and agreements that were held in Addis Ababa for 3 days were successful and motivating for action.
