It has been noted that better work has been done by expanding digital system and generating qualified work force.

Addis Ababa, April 5, 2017 (FMC) Minister of Innovation and Technology Belete Molla Getahun (Dr) stated that in the nine months of the budget year, a better job has been done by expanding digital manufacturing systems and generating qualified manpower.

Belete Molla (Dr.) has given explanation regarding the third quarter 100 days of sector implementation and complete macro economy implementation for the past nine months.

The minister explained that: expansion of digitalization, expansion of infrastructure, expansion of modern procedures, expansion of innovation related to employment are among the mission of the ministry.

They expressed that they have been doing a wide range of work in cooperation with the private sector and indicated that changes are being recorded in the digital sector.

In the last 9 months, the economic movement that is going on digitally, including Telebr, nearly 800 billion birr has been moved.

He stated that this is a big achievement. He said that it is possible to reduce the cost of printing money by expanding the digital system.

Human resource development 5 million coders initiative has stated that 688 thousand Ethiopians are registered and taking training since last July. Out of this, 270 thousand Ethiopians have completed the training and got international certificates.

Belete (Dr) has explained that this has contributed a lot to the construction of digital economy.

To be more effective in the field, they have also stated that they are working on developing new national strategies and implementing them.
