It was explained that everyone should fulfill their responsibility to be self-supporting as it is a ceremonial practice that does not suit Ethiopia.

The employees of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology held a discussion on the document "Breaking away from the mentality of profiteering and ensuring food security at the family level".
In the discussion, the Minister of State for Innovation and Technology, Dr. Baisa, mentioned that extensive work is being done to transform Ethiopia's potential resources into results and create the capacity to be a donor rather than a recipient of aid.
The Minister of State said that in order to get rid of the feeling of begging and guarding, it is necessary to use time properly and do results-based work. The Minister of State said that every citizen should know that aid does not have any positive value other than weakening the economy of a country.
We know that countries have grown in a short period of time because of their hard work on science, technology and innovation.
In the discussion, Minister of State, Adviser to the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Fozia Amin, pointed out that if Ethiopia's potential natural resources are used properly, it will not be difficult to ensure food sovereignty by transitioning from consumption to productivity.
It was stated that increasing production and productivity in all sectors is being done with special attention to avoid exploitation, which is not Ethiopian culture, and the participants of the discussion pointed out that everyone should work hard in the field in which they are engaged in order to preserve the honor and history of greatness of our country.
