The FDRE House of Representatives, Human Resource, Employment and Technology Affairs Standing Committee has reviewed the Ministry of Innovation and Technology's 2017 fiscal year six months plan implementation report.

The Standing Committee has pointed out that the plan implementation presented in the report has shown better strengths.

In addition, the standing committee needs attention and needs to take the issues and work further and improve their performance.

The chairperson of the standing committee Honorable Negre Lencho (Dr) has stated that the ministerial office will play a big role in achieving the plans of the government.

It is known that technology and innovation have a great contribution to lifting our country out of poverty and to ensure prosperity. Therefore, they said that this institution is not only doing great jobs but also to encourage young youth.

Finally, Dr. Negre Lencho has kept the record regarding some complaints arising from the leadership perspective, a complainant listener committee that is free from asylum and based on truth should be solved.

The standing committee raised several questions on the report and the minister's office responded to it.

Minister of Innovation and Technology, Minister Belete Mola (Doctor) said that the role of science technology is high and the responsibility of improving and developing the research is being fulfilled.

It has been explained that in terms of innovation, many works are being done including different universities of the country.

The senior officials of the ministry have explained that many works are being done including agriculture and health in terms of supporting institutions and developing assets.
