The government of Amhara National Region held a program for planting saplings and renovating homes for the underprivileged in Kombolcha.

The Ministry of Innovation and Technology and senior leaders and employees of the respondent institutions attended the 2016 sapling planting and home renovation program in Kombolcha.
The Honorable Dr. Bele Mola, the Minister of Innovation and Technology, stated that by working together to build our digital and green economy, we aim to create a system where society will not only be the beneficiary of green development, but also the owner.
Our country, Ethiopia, is the owner of vast and fertile potential wealth, the Minister said, as Kombolcha city and its surroundings have the potential to become a large fruit corridor, besides beautifying the area, it should work on the construction of a green economy that takes into account the continued use of its fruits for food.
We visited Kombolcha, one of the selected cities to be digitized in fiscal year 2017, and visited the community for a program of tree planting, home renovation and development visits.
Dr. Abdu Hussain, Head of Administration of the Amhara National Region Government, mentioned that in order to create a community that lives in a breezy and green environment and benefits from the green development in our country, work is being done to bring about rapid economic growth by doing comprehensive and multi-faceted work.
Along with the planting of saplings and home renovation, the Ministry of Innovation and Technology and the respondent institutions have provided support for bags, notebooks, and notebooks for students who are in need of educational materials.
