The Ministry of Innovation and Technology has signed a memorandum of understanding with the African Leadership Academy for the creation of skilled leadership in the field of science, technology and innovation.

The Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Bele Mola and the President of the African Leadership Excellence Academy, Mr. Zadig Abraha signed the memorandum of understanding to create skilled leadership in the field of science, technology and innovation at the national level.
The Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Bele Mola, said that if we do work based on speeding up the changes initiated by Ethiopia to develop the culture of science, technology and innovation in the country and empowering the human resource management to move to a digital economy, we will achieve our goal in a short time.
The Honorable Minister said that creating a competent leader in the sector has an important role for Ethiopia and emphasized that our country should focus on building a system that can create a capable human resource in the innovation sector to enrich the digital economy.
He said that efforts made by countries to grow their economy in only one sector do not yield much results, so we are doing a lot of work as a country to expand the horizons of our agriculture-based economy.
The President of the African Leadership Excellence Academy, Zadig Abraha, said that by building qualified leaders at every level, who can quickly respond to the demands of the people through innovation, he has a vital role to play in achieving the prosperity of Ethiopia and Africa in a sustainable manner.
He stated that it is a priority to produce leadership who can fulfill the responsibilities for the realization of successful national and institutional construction by conducting research and training on ideas arising from international issues.
It has been suggested that, in order to grow the national economy, he will use up his potential and strengthen the partnership.
