The third meeting of the Ethio-China Science and Technology Joint Committee was held today at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology.
In the field of science and technology, Ethiopia and China have reviewed the joint cooperation frameworks of the past years and the leaders of all countries have signed a memorandum of understanding to allow them to work together in new fields in the next five years.
At the event, the Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Bele Mola, said that our country is working on policies and strategies to create a conducive environment for scientific research, technological innovation, and knowledge transfer, and this platform will play an important role in achieving these goals.
In recent years, our country has shown significant changes in economic and social development by using the power of science, technology and innovation.
China's Vice Minister of Science and Technology Ms. Lin Xin said that this third meeting of the Ethio-China Science and Technology Joint Committee will strengthen the relationship between the two countries and work together on issues such as science, technology and innovation, and technology transfer.
The agreement focuses on strengthening cooperation and exchange between researchers and scientists of the two countries through trainings, short and long courses, workshops, joint research projects, establishing joint laboratories and facilitating innovation and entrepreneurship cooperation.
