State Minister of Ministry of Innovation and Technology Dr. Yishurun Alemayehu stated that the training of 5 million Ethiopians coders will enhance their digital skills and expand more domestic and foreign investment in the field.

"Five million Ethiopian coders" training July 2024 was announced by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.)

The program will enable 5 million Ethiopians to acquire basic digital skills in web programming, Android development, Data science and artificial intelligence in the next three years.

In addition to building a digital Ethiopia, a society with digital skills is important.

Government employees who attended the training pointed out that it is helping them to be successful in their work, and said that they were able to create new job opportunities.

In addition, they said that by increasing digital skills, it will lead to more domestic and foreign investment in the sector.

In addition to digital skills, the training that is given in the program is to get knowledge based skills that enable you to make rational decisions.

The youth who attended the training stated that the skills they gained made them competitive and gained more skills and knowledge for their work.
