Dr. Yishurun Alemayehu stated that the Netherlands Trust Fund project has played an important role in increasing and accelerating our digital transition journey.

Netherland Trust Fund 5 (NTF V) Ethiopia project from July 2021 - 2025, based on the partnership between the Netherlands foreign ministry and the international trade center has held a closing program about the digital technologies and agro-business sectors.

Dr. Yishurun Alemayehu, the minister of innovation and technology, who was present at the closing program, thanked the Netherlands Trust Fund 5 (NTF V) Ethiopia project based on current and changing issues, but also thanked him for his active contribution to our development in different tangible ways.

By supporting our Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) policy, the framework of the policy has played a significant role in supporting our vision of a knowledge-based economy, better research and innovation, new innovations and multidisciplinary cooperation to achieve results that drive national development.

Netherland Trust Fund 5 (NTF V) Ethiopia project foreign supply sector development, establishment of Ethiopian foreign trade association and support to African federation for foreign services have stated that it has taken important steps to sustain Ethiopia's existence in the international foreign trade industry.

More than 50 tech startups and IT/BPO companies have received support to bolster their business models, grow their strength and engage significantly in global markets.

By enabling Ethiopia to participate in international platforms and business missions, the project has created opportunities for entrepreneurs, encouraging innovation and companies to meet, learn and compete globally.

The minister Daetaw who said Ethiopia is on the issue of digital and technology transition has been leading Digital Ethiopia 2025 priorities and now we are transitioning to Digital Ethiopia 2030, in the closing program, our country is working to make technology a catalyst for global development and global competitiveness.
