Ethiopia African Center for Technology Studies (ACTS)) has become a member of the board of directors.

The 34th African Center for Technology Studies (ACTS) Administrative Council Conference was held in Nairobi, Kenya from January 26 to 31/2025.

Habtamu Aberan (Ph.D) who is the national research and development executive of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology has been appointed as the representative of the African Technology Studies Center for three years starting from January 2025.

Habtamu Abera, the chief executive of National Research and Development in the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (PhD) has said that the African Center for Technology Studies in Science, Technology and Innovation is not only doing a lot of things to ensure sustainable economic and social development in Africa but also supporting various research and development and training activities in Ethiopia.

Ethiopia has said that being a member of the board of directors of the African Center for Technology Studies will use international experiences to strengthen the national research, technology and innovation development works.

Director General of the African Centre for Technology Studies, Professor Tom Ogada, has said he will work closely with senior management teams to develop integrated governance, policies, processes and systems.

The African Center for Technology Studies (ACTS) has stated that it is a leading think tank that uses science, technology and innovation policies as a tool to ensure sustainable development in Africa.

The African Technology Studies Center is currently led by different congresses from different countries and representatives from Kenya, Ghana, Malawi, Cote d'Ivoire, COMESA, AU-NEPAD, East African Science and Technology Commission (EASTECO) as well as UK and Sweden have participated.
