Minister of Innovation and Technology Dr. Belete Molla with Italian Minister of Higher Education and Research Anna Maria Bernini (H. They had a discussion with E Ana Maria Bernini that focused on strengthening Ethiopia's digital change and innovation based economic growth.

During the discussion, the minister of innovation and technology Dr. Belete Mola thanked the Italian government for giving 585 million birr support to Ethiopia's efforts to bring a strong digital economy and to boost technology innovation.

The minister said that this partnership will help modernize Ethiopia's digital infrastructure, expand development and build human resource capacity in technology sector.

Dr. Belete Mola in his speech said that the need of cooperation is crucial to solve the challenges of technology and innovation in Ethiopia and to create a comfortable system by using technology for sustainable economic growth.

During the discussion, Italian Minister of Higher Education and Research Anna Maria Bernini expressed Italy's commitment to strengthen bilateral relations with Ethiopia and emphasized the potential of digital innovation to bring about social and economic growth.

They mentioned that Italy is working hard on digital economy building, biona emerging technology, artificial intelligence, aerospace engineering, nuclear science and research sectors.

The two ministers have also advised on educational exchange programs and joint research projects aimed at strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
