H.E. Frehiwot Tamru, Minister of Innovation and Technology, accompanied by her delegation, paid an official visit to the Ethiopian Communications Authority (ECA) to review its institutional capacity, operational performance, and priority strategic initiatives.

During the visit, the Minister emphasized that effective regulation must translate into tangible improvements in citizens’ everyday lives. She underscored that the Authority’s success should be measured by expanded access to quality, affordable communications services, stronger consumer protection, and demonstrable contributions to national development.

To advance these priorities, Minister Frehiwot directed ECA to place measurable public benefits at the center of its planning, implementation, and reporting. She emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional capacity and aligning strategic initiatives with clear targets and performance indicators to ensure that regulatory progress delivers meaningful results for citizens.
