Minister of Innovation and Technology Dr. Belete Molla visited Assosa town and discussed various issues with the Head of Benishangul Gumuz Regional State, Ato Ashadle Hussein.

The discussion focused on the renovation and organization of the Science Cafe Center in Assosa town, which will help increase the use of technology among the youth and stimulate the startup ecosystem.

During the discussion, Minister of Innovation and Technology Dr. Belete Molla stated that the ministry is carrying out various activities to increase the use of technology in the regions, especially to increase the use of technology among the youth, and recalled that in the past years, science cafes have been built and used for service in various regions.

The Honorable Minister also mentioned that the Ministry has prepared an opportunity for the region to enable the youth of Benishangul Gumuz Region to benefit from the startup ecosystem, and he said that the necessary conditions should be facilitated by the region to carry out the renovation and organization of the center and the work should be completed urgently.

During the discussion, the Regional Head of State, Honorable Ato Ashadle Hussein, said that the necessary conditions would be completed in a short time. He thanked the Ministry for this task, noting that the Smart Communication Unit built by the Ministry for the region would be of great benefit to the work being done in the region.

The Honorable President also requested the Ministry to support the work with technology to support the development of the high-quality fish resources created by the dam and to market the products while maintaining their quality. It was recalled that one of the 24 smart communication rooms built by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology in all regional capitals and the two city administrations, as well as selected federal institutions, was inaugurated in Asosa town of Benishangul Gumuz region with support from the World Bank.
