In the 5 million Ethiopian coders program, more than 270 thousand youths have completed their training and received certificates.

Innovation and technology minister advisor Abiyot Bayu (Dr) told Fana Digital that in the past 10 months more than 800 thousand youth have registered and are undergoing training.

Among them, more than 200 thousand are trained in basic programming, more than 235 thousand are trained in data science, more than 220 thousand are trained in android programming and more than 125 thousand are trained in artificial intelligence.

On the other hand, more than 270 thousand youth have stated that they have completed their training and got certificates.

They have also explained that the program of 5 million Ethiopian coders has been made based on the Digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy.

He said that this will make digital Ethiopia a reality and create value by using the apps they have developed and in the process develop apps and manage digital infrastructure.
