Private sector institutions have a big role in making Ethiopia's digital transformation a reality, so it is important to work together to achieve this. Dr. Belete Mola
The ministry of innovation and technology has signed agreements with private sector institutions that enable digital transformation and expansion of innovation in Ethiopia.
The agreement was signed with Cyber Zeb Consulting, Corporate Information and Communication Technology (ICTET) sector association and private sector organizations named Nuna Ethiopia.
In the agreement, the minister of innovation and technology Dr. Belete Mola mentioned that many projects are being done to encourage digital transformation and innovation. Private sector institutions have a major role in making Ethiopia's digital transformation a reality and therefore it is important to work together to achieve these.
The minister who pointed out the importance of the agreement to achieve Ethiopia's national digital transformation and innovation goals said "we aim to work with key stakeholders in the industries to create a sustainable digital economy, improve sector growth and build an immeasurable innovation system".
The minister said that these agreements will be a significant step in Ethiopia's journey to become a leading leader in digital transformation and innovation and will enable private sector institutions to participate actively.
In the agreement, the cooperation that was made to strengthen Ethiopia's digital transformation efforts and to increase national cyber security measures is aimed at strengthening Ethiopia's resilience from cyber accidents by promoting strong digital infrastructure for sustainable development.
Regarding the agreement made with the Corporate Information and Communication Technology (ICTET) sector association, Mr. Yilikal Abate, the CEO of the organization, has stated that he is committed to modernizing the ICT industry, improving the agility of service delivery and encouraging creative solutions for businesses to meet international standards and the ICT sector's role in boosting economic development.
The CEO of Nuna Ethiopia Mr. Birhanu Zergaw said that the agreement is aimed at using agricultural technologies to boost the entrepreneurship of youth and improve food security, create skill development and job opportunities for youth in the sector and put solutions based on technology in the agriculture sector, and increase productivity and sustainability in Ethiopia's agriculture industry and bring development.
