Minister of Innovation and Technology Belete Molla (Dr) stated that in the 5 million Ethiopians coders initiative, 780 thousand citizens are taking coders training.

The minister who mentioned that about 280 thousand of them graduated and got their certificates; also pointed out that this certificate is international.

This program is a three year program and in these years 5 million to 7 million youth are expected to benefit from this program.

The minister who said the world is entering into digital technology system has stated that the initiative is important for the citizens to be qualified and productive in building the digital economy.

The minister added that different strategies have been implemented to achieve digital economy transition in Ethiopia.

The minister said that in order to achieve the digital economy transition in Ethiopia, different resources and jobs are expected; one of the main things is to expand infrastructure.

The minister who stated that the government and the private society should work together to make this change that Ethiopia has started a reality. He pointed out that many changes have been recorded in this way.

By increasing the number of internet and mobile users, they have realized that developing resources that are helpful for the construction of the digital economy is the main goal of the transition of digital economy.

The minister explained that to build the digital capacity of citizens, we need to work on human resources development.
