The exhibition and workshop organized on the journey of digital transformation of Ethiopia at Addis Ababa Science Museum by Honorable Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh has been opened.

The Ethiopian digital transformation journey and insections exhibition and workshop organized by the prime minister's office, ministry of innovation and technology, information network security administration, artificial intelligence institute and Ethio telecom is being held at Addis Ababa science museum.

His excellency  Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh has stated that the government has fairly access to digital infrastructure that enables all Ethiopians to participate in the digital economy. The necessary legal and operational frameworks for the growth of the digital economy are in place and to ensure that citizens have access to basic digital knowledge and skills.

His excellency Deputy Prime Minister said that Ethiopia is making a lot of efforts to take advantage of its opportunities and pass the challenges, the implementation of the strategies plays a significant role in improving service delivery, modernizing trade and creating a more inclusive and prosperous society.

Minister of Innovation and Technology Dr. Belete Mola has said that in order to ensure our country's growth in this fast and changing time, we need to expand innovation, develop digital knowledge and skills of citizens, develop digital infrastructure and build institutions that will enhance the country's technology capacity.

The minister said that the development of digital technology is changing our world at an unprecedented speed, but above all, it is necessary to change the attitudes that the current needs such as cooperation, coordination, sharing, accepting technology and continuous improvement.

The Ministry of Innovation and Technology has said it is committed to work diligently and in coordination in the Digital Transformation Council to disperse the working hours of the sector in order to expand technology based innovations and create an inclusive digital society.

Senior officials of the regional and federal government, officials of information and communication technology and university scholars were present at the exhibition and workshop organized on the journey of Ethiopia's digital transformation.
