Capacity building training on gender equality and digital skills was provided to Ministry of Innovation and Technology staff. At the training, the Minister of State for Innovation and Technology, Dr. Baisa Bedada, stated that the development of the innovation ecosystem should be accelerated by empowering women with digital skills in our country. They raised the need to create a working system that allows women to play a greater ownership role in economic development by bringing out new products, modernizing services and creating new jobs and resources through startups and reducing the workload of others. Ms. Elisabeth Gebreslase, Executive Director of the Ministry of Women's and Social Affairs, emphasized that in order to make Digital Ethiopia 2025 a reality, by providing training to ensure gender equality in the sector, it will be possible to bring the desired economic growth in a short time. He emphasized that women should fulfill their responsibilities by converting the trainings they provide to benefit their country and themselves. It has been suggested that by creating a group made up of women who can lead the Digital Technology Initiative at the national level, it should be created to create a context in which others can come to the sector.
