In his explanation, the Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dietta Dr. Baysa, said that the Greater Southern Fair for Endogenous Technology (GresFET) organized by the Southern Cooperation Organization and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology in Dada will be a platform for technology and innovation experts and researchers from different member countries to participate and exchange experience.
Secretary General of the Southern Cooperation Organization, Sheikh Mansoor Bin Musallam, said that in addition to technology buyers and users, we should be creators of the industrial revolution and technology producers by supporting indigenous technologies.
The fair will be held from September 18 to 24/2017 and it is a fair where selected endogenous technologies from 28 member countries including Ethiopia will be presented and promoted.
 This endogenous technology exhibition is attended by more than 28 countries and affiliated organizations, where at least three (3) endogenous technology products from each member country will be presented and a total of more than 100 technologists will be on display.
Ministers and other senior government officials of the Southern Cooperation Organization member countries will be present at the event, and it is expected to create favorable conditions for research institutes, universities, private researchers and other communities to contribute to the development of their country.
