The Ethiopian delegation participated effectively in the 68th United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Annual Conference and related side programs, which was held from September 16-20, 2024  in Vienna, Austria. The minister who headed the Ethiopian delegation, Dr. Belete Molla, referred to the core works done in technical cooperation with the agency in the past, and asked Ethiopia to benefit from the major technical cooperation that the agency will carry out in the future. The minister mentioned to the assembly the work being done by the government of Ethiopia and also stated the need for further support, and expressed that his country will continue to make efforts to ensure more benefits in the areas of health, taxation, manufacturing and energy development by enhancing the development of peaceful nuclear science and technology, and called on the agency to support this effort.
