A final workshop was held on the digital government strategy and government enterprise architecture research document that will guide the Ethiopian government for the next five years.

The strategy analyzes the process of managing and implementing the digital government, sets directions, and includes enterprise architecture as one of the recognized standards and frameworks for implementation success.
The Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Bele Mola, emphasized that the digital strategy plays an important role in developing Ethiopia's digital economy to achieve the world's progress.
He said that to develop the digital economy, it is necessary to coordinate the development of digital infrastructure, lead the digitization of public services and equip our citizens with up-to-date skills.
The Honorable Minister said that the document is a vision for Ethiopia, which has potential in digital technology, and mentioned that it is a digital strategy based on key principles that include international best practices and guide our digital transformation journey.
The Head of Cooperation of the European Union Representative in Ethiopia, Roberto Schilliro, stated that the strategy aims to increase Ethiopia's transparent and secure network in the digital, energy and transport sectors and to strengthen health, education and research systems around the world.
He also stated that Ethiopia's efforts in improving and empowering the digital sector through infrastructure are encouraged.
The e-Government Service Strategy and Enterprise Architecture 2024-2029 document will be submitted to the Ethiopian Digital Transformation National Council for approval and trial implementation.
